Ziva Cohen

Ziva has studied Spanish dance and flamenco with numerous teachers in the United States and Spain. She has performed extensively in the Washington, DC area, and, at times, in other major U.S. cities where she has been applauded for her artistic and technical brilliance as a flamenco dancer and choreographer. She was a panelist on the Maryland State Arts Council Dance Advisory Panel from 2001 through 2003.

Choreography

Teaching
Ziva has successfully completed advanced coursework at both WPA and The Kennedy Center that qualifies her as a “Teaching Artist.” 

Ziva teaches numerous flamenco classes from beginner to advanced levels.

Ziva is a ‘Teaching Artist’ that brings the art of Spanish music and dance to the school systems of Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. Her specialty training and continuous classroom coursework sponsored by Washington Performing Arts Society (WPAS) and DC Arts & Humanities Education Collaborative over the past several years has qualified her for this title.

She also has taught flamenco in after-school programs for local schools with students ranging in age from 8 years old through the mid teens.
